The Wilderfolks Experience

Restorative, mindful and community-centered participatory guided camping paired with safari experiences inside Sri Lankan national parks.

Our founder and core team are lifelong campers and nature-enthusiasts — drawn to a variety of disciplines related to living harmoniously with the land.

We grow and learn from plants that restore balance between people and Earth. We spend time observing wildlife — not to collect sightings, but to understand the rhythms and habits of the wild, and to guide others towards seeing it with similar respect.

We love connecting over a good cup of tea or coffee to share stories, trade bits of field wisdom, sky gaze, and are always up for a ‘show and tell’ - especially when a non-human resident drops by to remind everyone whose home we’re in.

If it we were allowed, we’d live out in the wild. So we do the next best thing, we head into nature as often as we can and invite you to join us.

We create space for people to recalibrate in nature and return to what is real - away from noise, screens, and urgency.

We welcome all souls that hold the wilderness, the outdoors, and offerings of nature dearly with respect and humility.

You will not be treated as a spectator, but as part of the journey - friends stepping into nature together.

Each journey is designed around shared presence and gentle collaboration. We set up camp together, prepare meals together, venture on safari together, and leave each site better than we found it.

Everything practical is handled. Camping gear, meals and beverages, snacks, drinking water, basic first aid, camp kitchen equipment, game drives with safari guide, and limited cold storage.

All you need to bring is a positive spirit and an open mind for the journey, personal care items, and meet us at the entrance of the park on time.

“Wilderness is not a luxury but a necessity of the human spirit.”

And you know what I'm gonna do with it?
I'm gonna buy wilderness areas with it.
Every single cent I get go straight into conservation.”
